A FEW DAYS IN POREPUNKAH

Merry ( late )  Christmas and happy new year! I had a really great Christmas day this year eating way too much food & giving and opening presents and as for new year, it was just as good. I was lucky enough to get some super awesome presents this year including one of my dream Cannon DSLR'S ( thanks dad ! ) , books, makeup, clothes and other various things from my family. I'm so unbelievably grateful to both my family and friends for being so kind to me and being so generous.

Anyway, you might of seen on my Instagram lately ( @thegretaedit  ) that during this week my family went on a roadtrip to Porepunkah, one of our favourite country towns in VIC . Porepunkah is pretty much the most relaxing place ever. Full of beautiful scenery, rivers, bike paths and lots of exciting things to do. We spent the majority of the time relaxing ; Reading books, going on hikes, bike riding, discovering good coffee shops + places to eat and taking a bunch of photos. There was no WIFI ( a teenagers worst nightmare ) but to be honest, I really didn't mind not having it. It was good to disconnect, and to get away from all the bright flashing lights, noises and busy scenery of Melbourne which we exactly did and was our whole intention for going away.

a few inspiring videos you really should watch

Today I thought I would share a few videos that have majorly inspiring me lately. Seeing that school is now finally over for the year, means I've been spending a lot more time on my computer, and i've been doing just that.

BODY PARTY : TEEN VOGUE  -  I stumbled across this video from 'TEEN VOGUE" a few weeks ago, and I immediately clicked because Barbie Ferreira , AKA one of the coolest people ever was on the cover. Even better, once the video started it featured a bunch of other super inspiring plus size models as they discussed the importance of self love and not getting caught up in body image.

LACK : KRIST SOUP - This video is pure gold, and the overall style of the video is so gorgeous. Just watch !

NEUTRALS LOOK BOOK : TO THE 9'S - Look books are one of my favourite types of videos to watch on Youtube, and this " Neutrals look book" from my favourite fashion channel, To the 9's , is so well done. The outfits are so my style at the moment and the video is shot in such unique angles. Not to mention how beautiful the outfits and colour choices are ! Definitely up there with one of my favourite Look books ever

THIS IS : MONTANA - FUN FOR LOUIS

I love absolutely everything about this video, especially the cinematography. I've been a fan of Fun For Louis for a long time and quite frequently watch his daily vlogs, so I was super excited and intrigued about this video when I saw it pop up into my subscription box. This video was shot in the beautiful Montana, a state in the US that is famous for their rocky plains and beautiful scenery. This video really makes me want to travel there! And how pretty is that combi too !!

Also. It's exactly 6 days till christmas. Where has the year gone?  I'm sure there will be a lot of last minute shopping and wrapping presents, baking cookies and playing christmas music this week. I also have a super exciting fashion post coming your way ( hopefully before the new year, but i'm gonna save myself and say it might be up a few days after ) , I'll update you all as soon as it comes out !

Hope you all have a great christmas this year too.

with love ,

G x

it's beginning to look alot like christmas

hello everyone - long time no talk ! Lot's has been happening since last time I posted here.

So, christmas is less than 1 month away and I thought that this would be a perfect time to share with you my christmas wish-list. Now, i'm not expecting to get all of these gifts , but I thought it would be helpful also to the people that don't really know what they want and need some ideas !

1 // DSLR CAMERA - i've had my eye on the Nikon D5500 for a while now, as well as some other cannon DSLRS ( specifically the EOS 1200d ). At the moment I usually borrow my family friends DSLR camera but would love one of my own. I would also love to start making videos and taking better quality photos, and I think having my own DSLR would really help me to do that.

2 // BLACK ARIZONA BIRKENSTOCK SANDALS - I've lived in Birkenstock sandals ever since I got my first pair when I was about 5. They are such comfortable shoes, but my old pair are way to small for me now, so I think its about time to get a new pair. I love these black ones as they are super simple and can go with every outfit. Perfect for summer coming up too !

3 // AESOP  RESURRECTION AROMATIQUE HAND BALM - this hand cream from one of my all time skincare brands, Aesop, has been on my wish-list for a very long time. I have the green one although i'm not the biggest fan of the scent ( quite a masculine scent, got it mainly for the looks, which was a very bad idea now thinking about it. I hardly use it too !! ). I tried the pink resurrection aromatique hand balm in the Aesop store in Melbourne a few weeks ago and could not stop saying to my friend how much I love the scent, feel and of course the look of the minimalistic packaging.

4 // ROSE GOLD + BLACK MIMCO PURSE - i've been in need for a new purse for a while now, and I absolutely LOVE this one from Mimco. Perfect for going out as I can fit my phone, cards and money in the one.

5 //  IKEA OFELIA WHITE THROW BLANKET - This super soft, fluffy blanket would look perfect on my bed. Super simple and goes with all decor around the year without it clashing with art prints and bed covers. I looked at this blanket at Ikea when I was last there, and now I really wished I bought it.

6 // GORMAN GIFTCARD - Gorman. My favourite shop in the whole entire world. Expensive, but in my opinion, SO TOTALLY WORTH EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR. I especially need a Gorman raincoat, so if i am really lucky this christmas, I would love to get one.

7// H&M GREY LINEN BED COVER - I love this bed cover so much !! Getting a linen bed cover has been up on the top things I want to do, but I haven't gotten around to it. I've latley started to make my room look minimalistic, and I think this bed cover would make all the difference.

And yes, i've realised that i've been a bit absent from blogging for the past month or so.  I've been so caught up in studying and working on other school things rather than taking photos and writing here like I wish I had been. i've really, really missed it. I've updated the look of the blog a bit to get me a little more excited about getting back into it again. I've also added a bit more info on my "about " page and added an archive page for easy reading !

love to you all,

september / october favourites - clothes, beauty, artists & music

I feel like it's been forever since i've sat down and really had a one on one chat with you all. How are you all going? what have you been up to?

So the holidays have officially and sadly ended. These 2 weeks have been super packed. Saw a bunch of friends, went to the movies, shopped till my purse started crying ( like literally ). Re- arranged my room, camped out for 3 days in the backyard at one of my friends house's, went to way too many restaurants and cafes, did some bike riding as well as tackled the huge pile of homework I had to get done some time or another. Finished off the 2 weeks with a full day of blog planning and now I'm sadly writing and trying to procrastinate out of doing my English work. Fun times.

Anyway, I thought that I would show you a few things i've been loving lately. Over these past few months i've really been eager to change up my style and start fresh. I've really been into a lot more neutral colours, minimalistic styles as well as pretty much everything, from music, clothing and interiors from the 60's.
